FO Friday -- Wispy Edition
Today's FO Friday is a UFO turned FO. Hooray! While waiting for my Kinetik clue #3, I was in the mood for more lace knitting. I dug in the bottom of my closet--in the bags scattered amidst the yarn stash, to find this gorgeous little Wisp scarf, with only 3 repeats left to complete. Ravelry says that I started this beauty in 2009. I think I put it aside to knit baby items when I found out was pregnant with Theo. But as of Monday morning, when I gently lifted it from the blocking quilt, Wisp became a FINISHED object. Here she is in all her delicate splendor:
Stats:
Wisp is a free pattern on Ravelry!
The yarn is Shibui Knits Silk Cloud, a silk/mohair blend that feels light, fluffy, dreamy, and soft
The needles are size 8, 16" circular bamboo needles. I don't remember the brand, but they came from Knitty City, back when I was living in NYC.
I knit Wisp with no pattern modifications.
Hubs and I are having a date night tomorrow for his birthday. I plan to wear my wisp with a cute LBD (little black dress) and some ankle boots. Who said hand knits couldn't be sexy?

Your wisp is gorgeous! I think I might need to add it to the queue. ;-) Great job!
Oh wow, that scarf looks like a dream, the colour and lightness are so ethereal. <3
So pretty! And how great is it to finish a UFO that has been hanging around? That one was definitely worth finishing!
